A visit to Notre Dame Cathedral in 2018 was just before the devastating fire. The day of the fire, this painting was begun. It depicts the Choir Wall north, a long wooden relief carving. Visiting the Notre Dame Cathedral now that is has been rebuilt and cleaned will be a remarkable and inspiring experience.
The construction scaffolding of 2018 can be seen in the far left of the painting.
