I'm Janet. My namesake told me it is a fabulous name - short and sassy but also sweet. That describes me all the way to the T.

Art should be more than pretty. Pretty design is available easily and everywhere by machine. Our market is flooded with pretty.

I want my own surface designs for gift bags to engineers, notebooks for the law office or reversible

bags for the world traveler - that use

intentional

symbols and references.

Artistic patterns with math, specific plants from a region, or historical architectural elements make

intelligent and beautiful designs.

Maybe it is due to my degree in Art Education that I see the potential of design on our daily goods -

to teach, remind and nurture.
